No beer for a few weeks, so enjoyed this one!!! Juicy, with pineapple and lime vines. Love it!

The evolution of this beer continues apace… and it just keeps getting better. I’ve yet to delve into to what exactly the brewer has done differently but I’m assuming he’s adjusted the grain bill and played with the water profile, as well as tinkering with his hop schedule too. Is it even the same beer after all this?! 😂
There’s definitely a more dense hop character to it, more intensity in flavour and aroma. There’s still melon and citrus as well as Mooney gentle bitter finish. The mouthfeel feels fuller too, soft but filling and chewy.
Will try a pint at the brewery next time and chew the brewers ears off until he tells me the secret 🤣

Same yeast, same water profile, same hops…
Slightly different malt bill, slightly different cold side hop schedule…
Just goes to show what subtle changes can do to a beer. This has been transformed.
Raw, vegetal, chewy and dense. Tropical intensity, melon and lime…
A beaut! 👌

Pineapple and coconut in abundance. Bitterness more assertive than usual. Not complaining cos this is a very decent pint 👍

Big City, just what the doctor ordered on a day like this.
Tropical, piney and pithy. Refreshingly cold!

Last beer before heading inside. A local favourite originally brewed for the Brewdog Battle of the Breweries in 2019, I think they’ve changed it a bit since those days. I’m going to have a guess and say they’ve added sabro hops in there. I love that it’s a classic NEIPA then hits you with a nice bitter pithy bite too. I’m also loving the coconut that seems to have made its way in there too!

I love my local brewery. They’re so inconsistent every fresh batch is a surprise. This is far more bitter than previous brews, lots of pithy grapefruit coming through at first. It drastically mellows into the tropical smooth IPA that it usually is. Melon and dare I say a hint of coconut coming through...
