Opaque, deep dark brown beer with a faint ruby tint and subdued carbonation pours from the bottle. A fawn, velvety head reaches one finger and descends soon to a frazil-icy lacing on top. The scent is first nearly zero, obviously due to the fridge temperature. Gradually, dark chocolate and cocoa nibs start emanating through the air to the nostrils. Thereafter, black coffee starts giving signals. Eventually, a dry roasty nuance becomes alive. (I must look stupid with my nose in the glass all the time... 🤭) The tongue adores the merger of dark chocolate and a bit of mocha. The both elements are not particularly powerful but not impotent either. Together, the make a good tasty combination that seems to be more than the sum of the two. A wee bit of bitter caramel, flavored with distant fermented plum, accompanies from a distance. The roasty nuance that is present in the scent, continues on the tastebuds in a slightly sharper form. The body is medium at maximum. Maybe a bit less. The beer finishes with hefty bitter caramel, a whisper of syrup, strong fermented plum and a bit of dark malt. The aftertaste lingers in mouth for a relatively long time. The mouthfeel is slightly roasty, distantly crisp and medium-light. It's also faintly tangy and relatively closed.
