Murky, deep dark brown beer resembles black coffee and fills the sixth glass of the tasting flight from tap. A chocolate-mousse-like head, both as for the color and the texture, climbs two fingers tall, floats very long on the surface and still decorates the top as a thin lace ring till the very end of the drink.
The nose enjoys strong coffee with cream, dark chocolate, a big spoonful of dry cocoa power and a tad roasty element.
The taste puts forward some raw chocolate, strong tangy mocha, a tad cocoa nibs, followed by cocoa powder. Recognizeable salty licorice gets a roasty nuance around it.
The medium-bodied beer finishes rather short with roasty, raw chocolate and mild, overstayed black coffee.
The mouthfeel is remotely burned, a bit sappy, slightly tang as well as, overall, much thinner than I expected.
