First brewed by Guinness in 1801, FES was designed for export, and is more heavily hopped than Guinness Draught and Extra Stout, and typically has a higher alcohol content, which gives it a more bitter taste.The extra hops were intended as a natural preservative for the long journeys the beer would take by ship.

Pechschwarz im Glas mit ordentlich Schaum. Es riecht leicht malzig, dazu ordentlich alkoholisch, nach Kirsche und Rumtopf. Der typische Guinness-Geschmack ist da, die alkoholischen Noten drücken aber ordentlich durch. Gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Noir c’est noir ! Belle Guinness , plus en puissance. Attaque sur le café forcément, une sensation de notes de griottes en fin de bouche. Léger côté sucré. Bien agréable 👀🇮🇪🟠🟢☘️ Bonne saint Patrick !
