PE 03-05-13. Hyvin on säilyny 😀

Small hundreds up, settled for something that would suit thousands better, but nice to have even for #2700. Bit more rare-ish, I guess. Bottled 03-05-13, so almost 8 years ago. One of the oldest beers I've had. #1 Beer of Scotland in UT. Best beer of Brewdog scorewise in UT. A beer I never thought I'd get a chance to taste, and so on. Let's begin. Pours into glass with jet black color, looks like won't foam but then a finger length light brown foam appears for the photo and settles into ring, lacing against the glass. Scent has load of soy sauce umami, some dark berries, cranberry (from Tokyo), muscovado, dark chocolate, general thick dark malts. Quite refined, tar-like scent. Heavy and non-adjuncty it's gonna be. Dark fruits, umami, soy sauce, fruity, licorice, super viscous thick! Malts, super umami malty, perhaps bit of rye there, nostalgic kick somewhere idk why, finishes with dark, mellowly roasted herbal soy soft licorice. Oh wow. Somewhat bitter and medical archipelago bread in finish too. Dark chocolate, meaty. Body is thick! Smooth and round, viscous level is high. Alcohol burns my gums for first couple sips, then there's no sign of it. More sips I take, less weighty it gets as I probably get used to that weight of a body. Some muscovado also rises up. Well. Suffice to say, I dig. This Brewdog Fanboi is pleased. Finally this beer. And it's still in good shape. Getting those Tokyo vibes with more soy umami and muscovado. Now, what's a good score for this...
