Aromas of toasted bread crust, treacle and fig. Fig and raisins and lots of molasses in the flavour profile. Mouthfeel is clean like a lager but heavy like an imperial stout. Making it very drinkable. Some residual sweetness but not overpowering. Same with the alcohol warmth which is just about right. Not too dissimilar to a Doppelbock, maybe a tad more concentrated.

Ein Eisbock vom Fass und das in einer Landkneipe, das musste probiert werden 😊 Der Wirt hat mich aber falsch verstanden, daher hatte ich das große Glas auf dem Tisch… 😉 Aus der Erinnerung: Echt dunkel, ordentliche Malznote, nur wenig Schaum, der auch noch schnell verschwand. In der ersten Hälfte war es echt lecker, dann war es mir aber zu stark, weil der Alkohol dominierte. Wenn der noch etwas besser „verpackt“ gewesen wäre, gäbe es 4 ⭐️
