Lambicmaonen runko, erittäin tammitynnyrinen aromi. Nebiolon tunnistaa selvästi, kevyen punaviininen. Melko matala hiilihappoisuus.

Just when I complained a few days ago that my record of Grape Ales is extremely short, now I can taste one more. This is an Italian Grape Ale, 2019 vintage. The beer portrays a foggy, strawberry juice hue. Carbonation has been astonishingly well preserved in the bottle but it's very short-lived anyway. A timid foamy layer emerges on the top, maybe up to one finger, and dissipates then to zero. The nose likes the intensive sour aromas of red grape, redcurrant and apple. The yeasty slam is generous and gears the package clearly in the direction of brettanomyces and spontaneous fermentation. I'm guessing that there's also wheat malt although it's not particularly distinct. However, it could, alternatively, also be an illusion caused by brett. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Now it's the tastebuds' turn: red grape and apple are obvious but I wouldn't forget redcurrant either. I can imagine a pinch of cherry, too, and why not even a whisper of strawberry when it's made sour enough with lactic acid. However, there's no typical note of lactic acid that one can often pick in Sour Ales. Acidity, yes, but different. Brett is relatively copious also on the tongue. Wheat malt is still my best bet for the maltbase. Generally speaking, this offers a bit of fruited Lambic but also vibes of Fruited Sour Ale. The body is light-medium to medium. The end offers a glimpse of sour fruit wine that moves to history very rapidly. Right thereafter, I'm picking red grape and apple, hefty brettanomyces and a good amount of wheat malt. The finish keeps the tastebuds alert for a long time. The mouthfeel is vinous, tart, puckering and acidic. It's interestingly light-funky and moderately Belgiany. All in all, a palatable Italian Grape Ale.

Tuoksu hapan ja vähän maanläheinen. Suutuntuma runsas, hapan, aika matalahiilihappoinen ja kirpsakan pehmeä. Maussa souria, hieman suolaa, rypäleitä ja aitoa omenasiideriä. Jälkimaku todella hyvä! Suuhun jää pyörimään pitkäksi aikaa todella miellyttävä omenainen happamuus. Oikein mukava aika omenainen happamuus tässä. Mukavan runsas makupaletti. Hyvä nautiskeluolut.
