Bottled 26/9/18. Five years ago. Amazing cos this tastes much fresher. Islay Whisky totally dominates this beer. Whisky, smoke, peat ect. Dry, smooth and rich. Really unique and nice beer.

Tuoksu on sitä mitä yli vuoden Islay tynnyrissä levännyt pitää ollakin. Ja maku, tietenkin turvesavuista wiskiä, suklaata, lakritsaa, tervaa ja maltaista makeutta. Kitkeryys ja makeus hyvässä tasapainossa. Suutuntuma paksuhko ja täyteläinen. Vaikka en ole savu wiskien suuri ystävä, niin kyllä nämä Islay tynnyri kypsytetyt oluet on kuitenkin erinomaisia.

Tässä tosiaankin viski tuoksuu ja maistuu. Ihan tukka nousee pystyyn. Turpeinen aromi iskee lekan voimalla. Hyvä!

Best flavoured beer I've tasted. Peaty whisky in just the right balance with the rich stout, and at 13% it's one to take your time over. Don't go in for flavoured beers normally, but this is the nuts. Surprisingly low ratings here, but I'm guessing that's down to peaty whiskies being such an acquired taste. Out of production now... Wish I could bag one more bottle!

So, few hours ago Finland just won a gold medal in ice hockey world championships. And I just came home from tori (because in Finland when our country win we say "Torilla tavataan"). (Tori is a market place). And I wanted something really good beer . Hopefully this would be that. Bottle. Bottled on: 26.9.2018 Temperature: +10,5 degrees Black in color as all the Imperial stout from Buxton seems to be. Small brown head that is soon gone: 3,5/5 Nose: that lovely peated and smokey whisky can be dedected miles away. And to be fair: that is all the scent has. No beer. Just whisky. And even though I like it. The style nazi in me tells to deduct points: 3/5 Mouthfeel is medium-full, oily, and really smokey. I mean you can just feel the smoke cloud in your mouth. Low carbonation, low bitterness this is basically whisky which has been dilluted: 3,75/5 Taste: smoke, peat, heavy maltiness, some sweetness... The whisky dominates: 9/15 Even though I absolutely love these whisky aromas and flavors, I need more beer in this one. The most whiskiest beer I've ever tasted. If you like whisky and beer, this is definately your cupe of tea. I like this. But can not love it. Nevertheless I must say: Suomi Finland Perkele!!! 13/20 =32,25/50
