I was excited to see a new release from one of the local breweries and an ISA as well. Been enjoying those lately. This one poured nicely forming a loose frothy head on top of this slightly cloudy orange straw beer. Excitement builds as I bring.it close for a long deep inhale. Then confusion actually takes over. I'm getting some tame but muddled fruit notes and some very biscuity nutty malt. I had to spend no small time trying to figure out what fruit notes are in there. Eventually I decided it included some tropical fruits, possibly passionfruit and a very mild citrus. It is muddled though. The flavour is even stranger with pine, vanilla, citrus, biscuit, nut, cookie, and a bitterness that comes in near the end to throw another odd direction into the mix. The bitterness doesn't work well with the very biscuity malt especially in the aftertaste. Really wanted to like this but it's kind of a mess.
