It says it is “Big & Bold but Approachable”. Certainly is approachable but not a big bold pale ale by any stretch of the imagination. I guess it lost that when purchased by the Asahi beverages group as it is quite mild and low on the flavours that they boast on the label.

A North American-style pale ale which impressed with its golden colour, distinctive hop driven, fruity and herbaceous aromas, giving characteristic passion fruit and melon notes, followed by a bit of hop flavour at the finish. The taste is refreshingly clean on the palate.
